The Best Gluten-Free Spots to Check Out in Glasgow

If you’re gluten-free and planning a trip to Glasgow, let me tell you—it’s way easier to find good eats than you might think! From breakfast to late-night indulgence, Glasgow has some great options that’ll make your trip delicious and stress-free. Here are my top picks from my visit, each offering something unique and worth trying.

1. Stack & Still

When I first arrived in Glasgow, I was absolutely starving. After dropping off our bags at The Address hotel, we noticed a Stack & Still right across the street. It’s definitely touristy, but they were super accommodating. The manager even came over to take my order and was really knowledgeable about allergens, which gave me peace of mind. The food wasn’t mind-blowing, but for a quick, easy breakfast after a long flight, it hit the spot.

2. Dakhin

This completely gluten-free Indian restaurant was a dream. I stopped here after a walking tour of the city, and their two-course lunch was incredible. Every dish was packed with flavor, and the care they take with their gluten-free menu really stands out. I wish I had more time to go back and experience their dinner menu!

3. The Red Onion

We saved The Red Onion for our last meal in Glasgow, and while the atmosphere was great and the fries were top-notch, I was a bit underwhelmed overall. Maybe I had too many standout meals earlier in the trip, but steak and veggies can only be so exciting. That said, if you’re in the mood for a solid, no-frills meal in a cozy setting, it’s a solid choice.

4. Pho

This spot was another gem right next to our hotel, and I only wish we’d gone sooner! On a cold, rainy day in Glasgow, a big bowl of comforting pho was exactly what we needed. Barry ordered the spicy pho, and I had major food envy. Next time, I’m going for the spice—it was such a good way to warm up and fill up.

5. Pizza Punks Glasgow

Barry and I devoured both the HAWAIIRN-BRU and PROSCUITTO pizzas without hesitation. We added hot honey to the top, and it took them to a whole new level. If you’re a pizza lover (and let’s be honest, who isn’t?), Pizza Punks is a must-visit.

6. Brel

Brel was hands-down my favorite spot in Glasgow. Barry and I had never tried fondue before, so we didn’t know what to expect when we ordered the vegan cheese option. The manager even came out to chat, mentioning it was their first time serving it and asking for our feedback. It was creamy, tangy, and so satisfying. We paired it with their charcuterie board, fried potatoes, and fries, which made it a perfect shareable feast. I would 100% love to go back just to eat that.

Gluten-Free Dining in Glasgow Made Easy

Glasgow made eating gluten-free so much easier than I expected. The city takes allergens seriously. Most places we visited had managers or staff trained to walk me through the menu and answer any questions. Knowing that level of care was there made dining stress-free and enjoyable.

But it wasn’t just about the food—Glasgow knows how to set the scene. From cozy vibes to creative, welcoming spaces, so many restaurants felt like more than just a meal. Glasgow brings that perfect balance of great food and great ambiance.

If you’re traveling to Glasgow and wondering about gluten-free options, don’t sweat it. The city has plenty of choices, and the hospitality will make you feel at ease. Let me know if you visit any of these spots or find new ones—I’ll definitely be back for more!
